Research Natural Resource Management Plans for Communities

Time required:2 month minimum
Location:Tena and the communities
Requirements:Biological research experience; good command of Spanish

Notes:

  • Investigate and collate potential biological resources for each Kallari community
  • Assess current and natural resources in Tena region
  • Assess needs for communities in developing sustainable harvesting methods in villages
  • Pros and cons of harvest techniques and how to minimize impact
  • Coordinate meetings within communities to determine needs and desires of members
  • Work with Kallari staff to develop action plans for appropriate community harvest management plans
