Human Rights Community Workshops

Time required:2 month minimum
Location:Tena and the communities
Requirements:Hard-working & willing to take risks; good command of Spanish

Notes:

  • Investigate and collate human rights abuses in other areas of Ecuador
  • Research communities defending their land
  • Create workshop and invite affected parties to visit Kallari communities
  • Pros and cons of working with extractive industries
  • Coordinate meetings within communities to determine needs and desires of members
Work with Kallari staff to develop action plans for appropriate community human rights defense
